It has been a lovely day; very laid back. My kids have been so excited for my birthday to come. It is just so cute to watch their animated faces and silly antics, anticipating this day. They helped me make a German Chocolate cake yesterday morning, and were hard pressed to keep their secret of what was inside my presents. Ariel lasted until about 2 minutes before Dustan brought them downstairs for me to open tonight. I was putting away dishes and she came up behind me and told me to stop cleaning up and to come sit down so I could have my watch presents. I turned around and looked at her and said, "what?" She repeated it, and then I said, "Ariel, you're not supposed to say what's inside the presents, right? It's supposed to be a surprise." Well, immediately her hand went to her mouth, trying to cover her surprise at herself for leaking the all- important birthday presents. Her eyes wide, and shaking her head, she walked out of the room with her hand still covering her mouth, trying to somehow prevent me from hearing what she already said. Too cute. The presents were just what I wanted, and the cake was delicious. The steak my dear Dustan made wasn't bad either ; ) Nathaniel finally ate his first helping of steak. Now let's just hope he doesn't get a need for it like Ariel does. She is always begging for steak. lol
